McCann’s Irish Oatmeal presents The Houli’s Hooley and we start off this week’s show by hearing about what our hosts did for the 4th July. That includes stories about explosive fireworks, Clay’s injury while boating and both his outings to the Guns N Roses concerts at Soldier Field. Paddy has a fascinating story about a regular named ‘Pizza Bill’ and a group of school kids who grabbed the attention of director, Steven Spielberg. This week’s sports talk focuses on the Bulls newest trades and the return of the success of the White Sox. This week’s million dollar idea is more of a prediction that the next Martin Scorsese will be Amish.. we’re not too sure how that will work out without any technology but keep us posted, guys! Bills first speeding ticket, Clay and Paddy’s Marquette college stories and a very successful adaptation of ‘Raiders of the Lost Ark’ are also topics of discussion amongst our hosts this week. We hear music by Arcade Fire and to close out the show, Clay plays a live recording of ‘This I love’ from the Guns n Roses concert he attended at the weekend. What a treat it is to hear them live. Have a listen for yourself!
