McCann’s Irish Oatmeal presents The Houli’s Hooley and this week, we have a very special guest on the show. Chicago Legend and former Teamster Local 714 Union leader, William Hogan Jr. joins us this week to tell us about his new documentary film, ‘A Battle for Free Speech‘. It tells the story of the Government takeover of the Local 714 Trade Union that William’s father started. He talks about growing up in Chicago, how his Dad set up the Union and he gives us a brief lesson in his Irish Heritage. There will be a fundraiser at Harry Caray’s on October 5th to help finish up the documentary. Be sure to get down there and support our good friend and this important movie! This week in fashion, the guys discuss Billy’s ‘coach shirt’ and Bill Murray’s new Cubs inspired clothes line. Our hosts also discuss The Bears, the Chicago accent and the big breakup between ‘Brangelina’. They’re just as heartbroken as the rest of us. They also fill us in on upcoming events including The 2nd Annual Irish American Movie Hooley running from September 30th – October 2nd at the Gene Siskel Film Center. Make sure to get your tickets before they sell out! A great show this week with an important message from William
