McCann’s Irish Oatmeal & Mike Haggerty Buick/GMC/Volkswagen & Personal Injury Attorney Caroleann Gallagher present The Hibernian Radio Hour and this week we welcome 23-year veteran of the Chicago Fire Department Lieutenant/EMT Hugh Dennehy to the show. Hugh is a south sider and Mt. Carmel alum whose dad is from Ireland. Hugh played football and baseball at Carmel and in college and for many years was an Irish football star here in Chicago. He’s also the head baseball coach for the Moraine Valley Cyclones. Hugh tells us how he got on the fire department and gives us the rundown on his CFD career, and tells some great stories along the way, making Houli laugh. We’re proud to have him on the show and even prouder to have him protecting us and the people of this city. After some obits, Liam Durkin sings “Dublin in The Rare Old Times”, a mini-preview of our upcoming trip to Ireland with Liam. Join us Sunday June 23rd at Chief O’Neill’s for a pre-trip meeting with power point and music from this great Southside Irish Balladeer. Then Houli’s granddaughter Charlotte Houlihan calls in with her review of the Ariana Grande show last week at the United Center! Houli invites everybody to the Emerald Society Rib Fest Monday night at the FOP Lodge. And finally we head over to our favorite spot, HOULI TOWN for some “Who Cares?” and zany jokes. Terrific show this week, tune in!
