McCann’s Irish Oatmeal, Mike Haggerty Buick/GMC/Volkswagen and Personal Injury Attorney Caroleann Gallagher present Hibernian Radio and this week we welcome 29-year Chicago Police Dept. Detective Patrick O’Hagan to the show. Both of Pat’s parents were from County Donegal, Ireland and his mom, Elizabeth, still lives in the house where they raised all five kids on the northwest side. There were lots of cops in the neighborhood, St. Francis Borgia parish, where Pat grew up and they liked to tell their funny cop stories to the kids in the hood. Pat has a delightful self-deprecating sense of humor and keeps us chucking throughout the show this week. He leaves our audience with an important tip before he signs off, “Never give a ticket to any emergency room nurses, she’s the one who will wind up keeping you alive!” After our weekly obits, thanks to our scout PJ O’Dea, we hear Houli sound off on a letter to the editor that appeared in the June Irish American News denigrating him. He promises a stern rebuttal in the July issue for all you Houli-haters! Then it’s off to Houli Town for an extended edition of “Who Cares?” and some crazy jokes, before we exit to the sounds of Van Morrison performing “Wavelength”. Tune in to get on our wavelength and enjoy the show!
