Sgt. Danny Shine

McCann’s Irish Oatmeal, Haggerty Buick/GMC/Volkswagen and Personal Injury Attorney Caroleann Gallagher present The Hibernian Radio Hour and we continue in honoring our First Responders this week with returning guest, Sergeant Danny Shine. Danny has been with the Chicago Police Department for 24 years and currently works the Violent Crimes midnight shift. He grew up in St. Gerald’s Parish, Oak Lawn and attended De LaSalle. Danny chats in depth to Houli about the discovery of his adoption, his Hemochromatosis diagnosis and reconnecting with his faith. He also discusses some of the many groups he is a a member of including the Canaryville Veteran Riders Association and The Emerald Society. This guy has some great stories from his time on the force including being surrounded during an arrest and a run in with ‘Lance Romance’ in a bad neighborhood. Houli brings us up to date on the many Irish American events coming up, including our own 2nd Annual Hooligan Ball on Sunday, December 15th at McGaffer’s Saloon in Forest Park. Then it’s over to the recent Obituaries with a final stop at “Houli-Town”. Another great show this week, folks!
