Maureen O’Neill

McCann’s Irish Oatmeal, Mike Haggerty Buick/GMC/Volkswagen and Personal Injury Attorney Caroleann Gallagher present The Hibernian Radio Hour and we continue in honoring our Irish First Responders this week with the wonderful Southside Irish Police Officer, Maureen O’Neill. With 38 years experience under her belt so far, she has a lot of stories to share from her time on the Force including working on ‘Operation Angel’ as an undercover prostitute in the ’80s – Plenty of stories to tell from that experience alone! Maureen also chats about both her father and brother being Cops, their family’s Irish heritage and when she met her husband. This lady is a delight with a wonderful sense of humor. Pleasure to have her on the show! Houli fills us in on the local Irish American News and recent Obits. We go to a taped interview between Houli and Justice Margaret McBride who is running for Supreme Court in March. She has been a judge for over 32 years and chats to Houli about her family and her many experiences over the years in the courts. Houli gives us the run-down on how his trip to Ireland went between meeting old pals and working on a new project about the Chicago Flag. We take one last trip to ‘Houli-Town’ to close out this week’s show. Another great one in the bag, folks!
