Rick Barrett
McCann’s Irish Oatmeal, Mike Haggerty Buick/GMC/Volkswagen and Personal Injury Attorney Caroleann Gallagher present The Hibernian Radio Hour and we continue in honoring our Irish First Responders this week with retired DEA agent and old pal of Houli’s from ‘The Skinny and Houli Show’ days, Rick Barrett – AKA: The History Detective. He comes from 3 generations of Irish Police Officers, he grew up on the South side and attended Brother Rice. Rick describes working with the IRS, his undercover work with the DEA targeting gangs and he discusses the many places he has worked, including Denver and Paris. This guy is a walking history book who has so many stories to share from his time on the Force, from investigating mob bosses to capturing the bad guys and working through the language barrier while working in France. Tune in to hear his fascinating stories for yourself! Houli has his own story to share from the time he was supposed to take the Cop test. Spoiler – he missed it! We are brought up to date with the recent Obituaries and the local Irish-American News. Then it’s off on our final trip to “Houli-Town” to close out another great show that’s bursting at the seams with great stories and craic!
