Sgt.Jon Harmening
McCann’s Irish Oatmeal, Mike Haggerty Buick/GMC/Volkswagen and Personal Injury Attorney Caroleann Gallagher present The Hibernian Radio Hour and we continue in honoring our Irish First Responders this week with 25 year veteran, Sgt.Jon Harmening. Jon is a Sergeant in the 4th district and he’s also a member of the Pipes & Drums of The Emerald Society. He grew up in Beverly but now lives in Mount Greenwood with his wife and four kids. His father worked for the City Water Department and his father before him was a Police Officer. Jon has some fascinating stories from his time as detective and briefly as a polygraph tester.. He talks to Houli about why he got into the job, what pushed him to join the Pipes & Drums and his business ‘Midwest Polygraph Analytics’. When asked what makes a good Detective he said, “You have to be a good interviewer and a good interrogator”. Check the Emerald Society’s site for their upcoming St. Patrick’s Day appearances. Houli takes us through the recent obituaries and we have one final stop at ‘Houli-Town’. Another great one this week, folks!
