Fox’s Pizza, Guinness, The Cork and Kerry Irish Pub, Madden Funds and Flood Brothers Disposal present The Houli’s Hooley with twin brothers Bill and Paddy Houlihan. The lads are feeling a little slow at the top of this week’s show. It’s a hazy, slow time.. “It’s the dog days of summer!” – Paddy. He’s currently experiencing what they call the ‘never-ending birthday party’ in the parenting world. This leads to the brothers reminiscing about their childhood birthday parties and Paddy shares his personal experience throwing his daughter’s 13th birthday party. Billy isn’t a 13 year old girl but in his own words, “I’ve been known to think like them!”.. Paddy’s dropping some “subtle” hints about what he wants for his birthday this year so listen up! Travelling to destination birthday parties, imaginary office conversations and Von Vander Murphy are just a taste of the madness in the first half of this week’s show. The Houlihan bros ask the important questions such as “How many Tiffany’s are working in showbusiness?”.. Is this teenage birthday party that Paddy’s planning really a party or a photo op for Instagram? Billy shares his most memorable birthday party with the playboy magazine and speculates what he might be like in his other life… it’s interesting, to say the least! We take a break with “I Can’t Hold Back” by Survivor. There’s some love for Kevin James following the musical break. Paddy then shares his recent experience at the Chicago Cultural Alliance Dinner and mentions some of the interesting people he met there as well as explaining what it feels like to experience Imposter Syndrome. Sounds like their Dad, Mike, is setting some high fashion standards after the Alliance’s Dinner this year! We take a moment to give our missing host a big shout-out, Mister Clay O’Brien. We miss him here at The Houli’s Hooley and we’re looking forward to his return in the near future. Big News: Neither of the lads like rollercoasters! Billy shares the biggest ‘no-no’s’ for bachelorette parties and we end this week’s uniquely weird and wacky show with “Birthday” by The Beatles.
