Fox’s Pizza, Guinness, The Cork and Kerry Irish Pub, Madden Funds and Flood Brothers Disposal present The Houli’s Hooley with twin brothers Bill and Paddy Houlihan and these two begin this week by taking a quick look back over last week’s crazy antics. “Our show is very episodic in nature” – Paddy. Paddy shares his experience hosting their Dad’s show while he is on his annual trip to Ireland. The guest he interviewed had some seriously amazing stories about working in Law Enforcement and even crazier stories about coming across Cults and being present at an exorcism! The brothers discuss their Dad and his hilarious antics. They’re looking forward to the big High School football game this weekend where Mount Carmel goes head to head with Loyola. Sports Talk this week is all things High School Football and the current rankings. Paddy’s into scary ghost stories this Halloween season and he showcases his Irish accent while sharing some of the research he’s been doing on Irish mythology and folklore. We take a musical break with “I Don’t Know” by Jimmy Buffet before the Houlihan brothers get into the Irish ghost story they came across online about the Earl of Tyrone’s ghost. Producer Mike helps to set the creepy tone this week…Halloween scary movies – What’s suitable for kids these days? Don’t they see much worse on their phones?! Then the lads visit the infamous Chicago ghost story of Resurrection Mary who was supposedly killed in a hit and run and is said to be picked up as a hitchhiker before vanishing when they reach the cemetery. Although she’s not to be confused with the ghost of ‘Chatty Mary’.. We’re thinking Kim Bassinger could play ‘Resurrection Mary’ in Chicago Werewolf. These two are thinking of going on a cemetery walk. Suggestions welcome! “Ghost hunting is a High School activity!” – Paddy. Then they share their own personal ghost story about ‘Bad Annie’ and Paddy has some of his own spooky stories from his time working as a bartender. Spooky stuff… Trick or treating, unsuitable children’s costumes and Resurrection Larry are just some of the other topics the guys discuss this week. They both address Billy’s sugar addiction. “It all comes back to the love of ‘Young Guns’” – Paddy. We end this week’s Halloween special with “We Are Spirits” by The Police.
