Paddy Houlihan, Bill Houlihan, and Clay O’Brien

Fox’s Pizza, Guinness, Big Corner Tavern and Flood Brothers Disposal present The Houli’s Hooley with brothers Bill and Paddy Houlihan and their very good friend, Clay O’Brien. The trio are reunited this week and we kick off the show with Paddy filling us in on his illness last week. He had Covid, folks! He takes us through that experience from his symptoms to the expired home test he took.. Clay requests an immediate review from Paddy of the show he and Billy did last week while he was out. What does he recommend to eat if you have covid? We dive right into Sports Talk with focus on The White Sox – the guys are disappointed in their performance, or lack thereof! How would the Houli’s Hooley fix the White Sox team? Producer Mike is throwing out some great betting ideas this week and Billy is considering taking him up on one that could result in him quit smoking. The lads want to organize a sit-down chat with Jerry Reinsdorf in a Culver’s, of all places.. He’s got some explaining to do! It’s a proper Sports episode this week, folks.. Clay suggests “steroids and cocaine” to get the team back on top! How about some themed game nights like “Canseco Night” or “Weed Night” where they all smoke while playing – it’s something different! “It’s not even worth joking about, it’s that serious of a situation!” – Clay. We take a musical break with Led Zeppelin’s “Misty Mountain Hop”. That particular Zeppelin song triggers a memory for Clay and they guys share some good memories from school days. What’s your walk-up song? Billy’s the kinda guy who blows kisses to the girls in the bleachers! The lads push their luck and give a shout-out to Mike Tyson, asking him to come on the show as a guest. We’ll have our fingers crossed for yas, guys! The death of TV legend Jerry Springer is the main focus in Celeb Chat this week. Fun fact: Springer was the Mayor of Cincinnati. The trio discuss the craziness of his talk show and his icon status in Chicago. Who is your favorite Talk show Host? Who would play Jerry Springer in the movie? There’s some very interesting suggestions, including Elijah Wood… This leads to the hilarious rendition of a couple of old men in a nursing home. The lads end this week’s wonderfully weird episode by discussing the darker side of ‘Talk Show TV’ including some of the fatal outcomes after some of the more controversial talk show episodes. The lads play out this week with “Outlaw” by War.
