Paddy Houlihan, Bill Houlihan, and Clay O’Brien

Fox’s Pizza, Guinness, Big Corner Tavern and Flood Brothers Disposal present The Houli’s Hooley with brothers Paddy and Bill Houlihan and their great friend and old pal, Clay O’Brien. The trio begin this week’s show by discussing the show’s intro song and Paddy explains how they chose that particular song. The Houlihan brothers take a moment to thank all of our listeners who came out to the 9th Annual Irish American Movie Hooley over the weekend which leads to the development of a new character,  ‘Greg, the Wilmette Weirdo’.. The lads discuss some of the other events they’ve attended recently including a Guinness event where being a smoker came in handy for Paddy! Clay shares the interesting story about training with Freddie Roach’s brother who had some questionable tattoos from his time in prison… This leads to a discussion on the tattoos the trio would get if they had to do some time behind bars  – Bugs Bunny, “Free Hugs” and maybe even  a portrait of ‘Greg, the Wilmette Weirdo’! We take a musical break to mark the halfway point of the show with “If I Can Dream” by Elvis. September is officially over and you know what that means .. The Halloween costume conversations are starting! Could Paddy go as a smoking Tom Brady? They come up with some very interesting movie ideas stemming from the Halloween banter and don’t forget about their other latest character, ‘Penishead’… They’ve lost all sanity this week, folks! The short attention span in today’s society, the user’s experience on social media and the Chicagoland Sports Hall of Fame are some of the other topics this terrific trio cover this week. They end another great one with “Moving In Stereo”  by The Cars.
